Overview
After a century of valley winters, the sanctuary needed more than paint: leaking stained glass, a silent 1961 organ, and pews worn smooth by four generations. We restored it all — and added hearing loops, gentle LED light, and full accessibility.
The challenge
How do you modernize without erasing memory? Every change went through the heritage committee, the congregation, and two preservation architects before a single hammer lifted.
Our approach
- All twelve stained-glass windows releaded by a third-generation studio.
- Original pews restored, widened with cushions, and spaced for wheelchairs.
- The organ rebuilt with 400 new pipes voiced for the room.
- Worship continued in the fellowship hall — attendance grew through it all.
